Hope I am making myself clear, and when I open them they open in Picassa:shrug:

Hello,,

This may help for a start...

FastPictureViewerWICCodecPack

just copy and paste that into Google should be fist link on the page.

you will also need to extract the jpegs from the RAW image which is easy if you look round for the software.

Have phun.....

OW.

Try IJFR (Instant Jpeg From Raw). Read about it in a Kelby book and gives instant conversions by right clicking on the raw file. I've only tested this on Nikon NEF raw files, so cant speak for other raw formats that I haven't tried.

If you just do a straight conversion, you are losing the advantages of shooting RAW in the first place.

Processing a RAW file before conversion gives you much more latitude than processing a converted JPG.

DPP should have come with your camera, or elements 8 or lightroom both will handle them ok.

This.
The Canon DPP software is more than adequate for making touchups to your RAWs, then convert them to JPEGs or TIFF (but they will be HUGE if you do TIFF)
