Hi all,

Popped out in the glorious weather today with the gf and bagged a nice varied set from some lakes nearby.

Going to post some 'ID Required' ones up and I've had a look on RSPB and can't ID them myself.

For now, here is a few Coot and then some Chicks too awwwww.

Interestingly, I'd have matched the Chicks with Moorhen's though not Coots, what with the red colouring :)

What you need to learn is dump the GF so you can afford one  Lovely set Dan, love the ones with the chicks (y)

A lovely set here Dan, I love the chicks too, you did well to capture these (y)

Thanks Joe, was a pleasure today watching different species and a change from Woodland birds, I enjoyed every minute of it even though I pushed the 70-200mm + TC to the limits haha!

Appreciated Trev, always nice to hear positive comments (y)

Some nice shots there.
Took my camera to RSPB Rainham Marshes
Little bird-life but plenty of insects and other things to take my fancy.Would rather have had the action you saw.

Cheers Ken, very much appreciated indeed!

Thanks also Glenn, glad you like.

I had a few duff outings prior to this so was rather pleased to get something I could happily upload :)

Nice set Dan, good detail in the first. Nice to see the bird with chicks pics. Well done.

I like the reflection in the 1st and then the 3rd.

1st time I have seen Coot chicks...only a mother could love them!
