As a photographer your photos are already protected by copyright as soon as you click the shutter - unless you physically sign them away to someone else.

However this doesn't stop people who are ignorant of the law from stealing your property and using it for their own.

There are several ways to stop them but the easiest is to disfigure online photos with a watermark across important bits.

You can also embed copyright notices in the image but they're not visible and many don't know they're there!

yeah i mean embedding the watermark/information , o0o0o0o invisible ones, how do i do them? they sound exciting!!

I feel like a bit of a spammer !

If you have a look at the Script Writer thread (see my sig) it is free to try and if you buy it at £10 then 20% goes to Talk Photography. It can resize and border your pictures plus add signatures to the image.

I'm not sure if you want to add the EXIF data, but in terms of adding a watermark, you can do this manually/set up batch processing in Photoshop.

can someone elaborate on the watermark embedding polease? I have no idea how to do it!

this water marking, do you have to do it to every photo individually or can it be done automatically to a batch of photos??

thanks
