hey guys, i am off to Cornwall for a bit of a mooch and wondered if anyone had any reccomendations of where to go an get some lovely photos, preferably falling on the etheral, pixie side of things. I am headed down to Bodmin for a festival and hope to find my way back up towards Exeter so places in between those two would be amazin, will think of moving further afield if necessary :) thanks - Fi

Well the Eden Project is the obvious one and there's also the Lost Gardens of Heligan (If you can find them! :D). Polperro is a lovely little fishing port on the south coast, very picturesque.

Then, if you're heading towards Exeter, there is Dartmoor. Plenty of places to photograph around there and of course, the Butterfly Farm & Otter sanctuary at Buckfastleigh.

Hope all that helps.

Just went to Padstow this weekend. Anywhere around there is nice, although sunrise is 5am.

thanks, nice pictures (though i must say i destest this HDR nonsense) looks like a lovely place, sure we will find our way there :)

Ta - but there's no HDR on those, I don't do HDR.

Apart from some perspective adjustment in photoshop due to the 10-22 lens, cropping and a little sharpening on the harbour shots in Lightroom, that's straight out the camera. It really was that colour as the sun set.

The top one is a magenta colour cast caused by the Cokin ND filter.

When ya thinking of? We're having a TP exeter meet which could be a laff

if your near bodmin then bodmin moor is pretty as is dartmoor or the whole north coast of cornwall :D

also sexeter is in devon ;)

Have a look in this thread, may be of some use. :)

Dartmoor is an obvious choice, as is the Barbican in Plymouth.

Hey guys, sorry havent replied for a while, have been sorting stuff out! sorry to dis your photos dude they really are very lovely! wow that the water was that colour! very clear image, i find HDR makes everything look like its the end of the world! i only thought it was in one of the pictures and i can see now that i am mistaken!

Not exactly sure how long we will be in Cornwall, we head there on Thursday for a festival and i was then planning on going to Glastonbury festival on the way home, unfortunatly that has fallen through (my being there, not the whole festival ;) ) and so i thought we could explore Cornwall for a while, perhaps bimbling down as far as Falmouth and coming back and stopping a few places on the way before heading home :) When is the TP meet - i might well be up for that! xx

That's Ok, made me relook at them. I have a blue version where I've turned down the temp.

We went through Glastonbury this weekend. The wall is up already, unbelievable how far away you can see it glinting in the sunlight.

We stopped in Appledore on the way home, near Bideford, but the opposite side, Instow looked nice, but the did the whole of the north side of Cornwall :D

Lovely! and Byker do you have any more piccies up anywhere? would love to have a look at a flickr or something if you dont mind so i can see what sort of places you found :) Yes the glasto wall is a real **** but not as hard to cross as all the rules and regulations they have asked me to follow to work there! It really seems like more trouble than its worth! Will check out the names you gave mate and i am sure we will have a wonderful time in Cornwall (Liam is South African so needs to try cream teas, cornish pastys/icecream AND decent fish n chips!)

My advice . . . kynance Cove, one of the most stunning beaches I have ever seen, not sure if will be that near it.

Some shots from last year
