Help :D

We have a corporate portrait shoot coming up, a 3 to 4 hour photograthon! :naughty:

Now, the client is a web design firm, so they are wanting something a bit edgy, arty, young, energetic, modern....you know the type, the web 2.0 generation.

Any general ideas? We have a black and white backdrop, and enough flashes to light the new olympic stadium. Don't know how to use them, but that's another worry for another day...

Just looking for any examples or ideas you might wan't to share. Poses, settings, backdrops etc - something to just help get the gray matter working!

What about props?

Have you seen any examples of this kind of work?

Thanks for any help and advice you can offer.

Gary.

Check out some of Joe McNally's work, he has some great portraiture!

A lot of it is location work...which would be good, the backdrops might prove to be a bit 'samey'

Cut up the black backdrop into a large company logo.

Darken the room fully

Backlight heavily the dark cut out backdrop so it throws its shadow onto the back of the white.

Position the clients in front.

Position the lights to only light the clients in a high contrast 'power full' impacting way.

I don't have any lights myself so I can only ponder on how to do that last bit.

...hey you did ask. :D
