corrupt cf card what do i do??

Im pulling my hair out here...
Went to the zoo recently and got some great photo's
I took around 2000 pictures but one of my cf cards in now reading an error.
at first the pc wouldn't read the card, and now the camera keeps asking to format it...

any ideas on how i can resiolve this to get my pictures back?

Download this freeware program and run it on your card.

will the recovery program work on a corrupt disc?

i havent deleted anything... just the card refuses to be read... pc keeps saying insert card and the camera says the cf card is corrupt :(
 
Try connecting the camera via its usb cable to the computer.
 
All my cards are sandisk extreme 3's but they ended up fuilling up so i used the one i bought when i first got a camera, its an intergral cf card from argos... i'd never buy one of these again!

Thanks for the advice sbowler and others... i'll do all that now :)

that freeware program wont work... says the drive is an incorrect parameter.
and the cable for the camera just says unable to use card :(

Bit gutted tbh but nevermind.
I'll see if another pc i have can access it through a card reader.
other than that i'll just have to throw it out the window! :(
 
You need a copy of Sandisk Rescue Pro.

It is supplied with a new card. I'll have a look later tonight, I'm sure I have a spare copy.
 
Search Google for similar programs and try them, if at first and all that.
 
none of the online software programs are working, they are all saying the drive is empty. :(
ive managed to get in touch with my friend at irepair that is going to take a look for me... im sending the card off to them tonight :)
