HELP?!

Last night i did my first big shoot that i will be getting paid for, i used 2 CF cards on the shoot 1x sandisk ultra 2 (4gb) and a sandisk extreme 4 (2gb) and shot on a 40D

but when i came to download the photos this morning the 2gb card has corrupted and lost all the images, and when viewed in camera says "file can not be created"

i have had a search but most results come up with PC software, are there and MAC software i can use to try and recover them?

and do i have to use a card reader or can i use the camera and usb?

I am not sure about mac software, but if you get desperate you can post the card to me and i will see what i can do, i have access to a forensics lab and may be able to get some stuff back..!
 
You Sandisk cards should have come with Sandisk Rescue Pro which is really good at recovering files, you'll need a card reader though!
 
If you don't have the recovery disc i can post one to you as i have a few spares lying around
 
Photorescue. Available as PC and or Mac Should recover most files including most RAW.

Not Free but one of the best available. Found it better than the Sandisk ones

for the testdisk recommendation
i just recovered some pics of a old memory/stick/pen 2Gb on my PC
that was showing as Drive G: is not formatted and not accessible

it not only recovered the pics it also re-wrote the memory stick partition
and its fully working again
