Could do with a spot of help...

I have a dvd of my daughter's xmas nativity thingy. I want to back it up and stick it on my Mac G5, but when I put the dvd in I get a whole host of files...

xxx.BUP
xxx.IFO
xxx.VOB

Does anyone know, if I dump them all onto the Mac and the dvd got corrupted, would I be able to restore them in my old age and embarass her in front of unsuitable boyfriends?

Yes. To create a DVD that is playable, you just need to create a VIDEO_TS folder on the DVD and then copy all those files into it. For your own peace of mind, have trial run at it first

The vob file is the important one I think, that's the actual video. As long as you have that you should be able to play it via software.
