I'm having problems viewing some of my images, re another thread where I thought it was bridge.
I took about 470 piccies, and Bridge shows the pictures for the first 50 or so, and then just shows the nef file and bridge/cs3/camera raw says its not a recognised file type.
I downloaded the updated camera raw, and still it wouldnt work.
I thought "I know...I'll put the card back int the camera" and now its saying that I only have 230 pictures on the card...how can it have lost the pictures without me deletign them!? [I havent deleted them]
Its a Sandisk card and I havent had it that long!!! Ive used it before and its been fine.

HELP!?

Cliche, but restart your system, and reinsert your card reader (if you have a spare USB slot, try moving it, it sort of 'reinstalls' the drivers when you do that).

Also, what does windows explorer say about the card? how many files etc.

But above all, DO NOT press the shutter button with the card in, dont write to the card at all even to test it until youve got your images off :)

look at the recovery programs, they really do work

stew

thats what olympus suggests..download a recovery programme and search for .jpeg or whatever ending your files have
i did it recently on a external hard drive and got years of stuff back i had deleted

too damn much actually and had to delete them all again:)
