I'm thinking of entering these four photos into the countryfile BBC competition, what do you think of them?

3. The Horizon is not straight, you may want to straighten that unless it's intentional.
4. Petals at the top of the flower seema bit unatural, maybe a bit over processed? Also the wood panel bottom left is a bit distracting.
1. I like the way the you've captured the wave breaking but everything seems a bit far away for me, maybe go back and try and get something with some more foreground interest as well, or crop a bt off the bottom and top?
2. I like this, there is a bit too much space at the top of the image, maybe a slight crop there? Also There is maybe a bit of detail lacking in the posts, though i guess there may have been nothing you could do about that.

Comments meant constructively - what's the brief for the competition?

Good luck!

AKR thank you ... I could do a bit of editing/croping but can't go take more shots as I took them last week on my hols in Norfolk and am now back home.

Derrycity the competition is for anything that shows off Britain ... The subject for the BBC Countryfile Photographic Competition 2009 is "Wild and Wonderful." The theme is open to individual interpretation but entries must have the natural world at their heart. You might choose to photo British wildlife (which includes animals and plants), landscapes or even the weather.

I prefer the colour version - keep in mind as with all feedback it's what think that really counts, it's all very subjective!

Re the Theme, when you have a look through your pictures ask yourself why you think X picture would stand out more than another in the competition. This should help you focus for future photos as in 'what are you trying to achieve \ project' with the image.

Good luck!
