Hi all, firstly, I'm after recommendations for a decent(ish) travel tripod. I 'll only use it a few times a year when travelling, so don't want to spend a fortune as I'll use my Giotto's Carbon Fibre unit when at home. I know there are some really good ones out there costing upwards of several hundred pounds, and those I just can't justify.
I'm basically looking for something that will hold mainly an Olympus M43 body, with my heaviest lens being the 40-150 F2.8 Pro (so approx. 1.5kg), or a D750 with say a 24-120 F4 VR (so approx. 1.6kg). Doesn't need to go to 6', but I'm fed up with the real cheap "7dayshop" £9.99 specials, (no disrespect to 7dayshop.com), so am looking or something a little better - say around the £40-50 mark, and that will fold up really small ?
Secondly, the wife has asked me what I want for Xmas, and the only thing I can really think of is a circular polariser for the Lee Seven5 system (the only filter I don't have) for my Micro four thirds camera system. Trouble is it's anywhere between £185-£200 which seems a awful lot for a smaller size filter, especially when I only paid that for my Lee slim landscape polariser for the bigger 100mm set up (for my full frame DSLR's). Does anyone know of any alternatives to the extortionate Lee version, or have they designed it so you have to use theirs ?
