Yes
In Arabic, couscous is a slang word for 'lady parts'

just saying :D

ooer missus

Sounds a bit fishy to me:gag:

The only good couscous is the wife's couscous. All others pale into insignificance. And that dish made from tiny granules of durum wheat she makes is ok too:D

Yes, the following is from crappipeidia...however I just ran it past my boss (who is an Arab gentleman), and he pretty much agrees with it. He also knows no such slang for the abovementioned "ladyparts" lol

Etymology................The name is derived from Berber language (Berber:seksu [meaning well rolled, well formed, rounded]). Numerous different names and pronunciations for couscous exist around the world. Couscous is /ˈkʊskʊs/ or /ˈkuːskuːs/ in the United Kingdom and only the latter in the United States. In Berber it is known as Seksu or Kesksu and in Arabic: كسكس‎ pronounced Kuskus. It is also known as: taam (طعام) in Algeria,"Kseksu" or "Kesksu" in Morocco; Kuseksi-in Tunisia, Libya and Kuskusi (كسكسي) in Egypt. Keskes in Tuareg.

I work with an Arab from Jordan who assures me that it is slang. He says that his mother goes into fits of giggles every time she hears it.

A couple of years ago, I was making myself some couscous (well, from pre-packed sachets).

I had two sachets in my hand and spent quite a few minutes staring at them, trying to decide which one to have.

One was Coriander and Lemon and the other was Lemon and Coriander.

Quite a difficult choice!

Steve.

3000 UN troops entered Jordan last night. Peter André's said to be furious.

:coat:

funny though huh?

Cous means lady bits in some flavours of Arabic, normally the more eastern ones.

Didn't know you could get more than one flavour. Must ask moose

It reminds me of a constant source of amusement in the school canteen. When asked, "vegetables?" by the cook, answering "moron" ("carrots" in Welsh). Ah the simple things. :D
