South-East England crawley/gatwick

Hi all, I'm a new resident to the area of Crawley and I'm looking for some inspiration of things to shoot, but not knowing the area and its delights I was wondering if anyone could suggest some gems?

Im from London and was comfortable in that area, just feels daunting in a new to me area...

I know Gatwicks up the road, but I've never taken plane shots (in the air) previously, im more used to motors on the floor. Can anyone suggest some things to do??

If you fancy some wildlife and have transport you have the following:

Tilgate Park
British Wildlife Center
Buchan Park
Ifield Mill
Warnham Nature Reserve

Gatwick Aviation Museum - you may be able to get some interesting close up views of aircraft engineering?
South Downs for walking and togging (don't lknow the area though myself)
Brighton...
