Critique - Indonesia Travel Photos

A few photos from my recent 3 month trip to Indonesia. Was my first trip with a DSLR and all of the below photos were taken with a d3000 using either the 18-55 kit lens or an AF 50mm (manual focusing!).

As the thread states indonesia travel photos then I would expect pictures of indonesia.. Most are correct but pictures 1,2 and very much 7 could be taken anywhere in the world and dont hack it for me..

I would like the story behind #3 .. maybe in a pic title?

I like the green color on #4 that works really well IMHO

The horizon on #8 needs fixing as it slopes

Overall a decent set, though there are far too many images to expect detailed critique on all of them, but this one is obviously far too yellow and saturated...
