Critique time, shooting after sunset with D300

Messing around with my new D300...
Popped down to the beach to try out the 50mm f1.4 with my new body.
Which do you prefer, Landscape or Portrait, and which shot:

1) 8.0sec @ f16

2) 0.8sec @ f5.6

3) 2.5sec @ f16

I actually like all 3 but I think the portrait wins by a nose. Maybe a tat to much foreground IMHO.

Cheers, these were the first night shots I took with the D300 after buying it from psenior last Saturday.
I tried to make the foreground a tad more interesting as it sometimes ends up as an empty space with me....
