Crooked Spire, Chesterfield

That's a really nice vantage point (y) though I would see if I could get a little more detail back and try and balance out that really bright areas on the buildings, the colours seem a little odd

Thanks Tom.

The colours look odd because that's the colour of the street lights unfortunately and I didnt really like the B&W version.

Agree with Matt, also the perspective tool would be useful.

A couple of thoughts...

The spire is a little dark and could do with being somewhat more prominent as that is the unique feature of this building.

The brickwork is blown out along the front, upper part of the building and if that could be recovered, even slightly, this would enhance the image.

Have you tried going to B+W and then tinting (possibly split-toning) the image with colour to your taste to get round the lighting situation?

Anthony.

you can adjust the colour of the street lights with a manual white balance correction before the shot is taken hth mike (y)

Thanks for the comments & suggestions guys.

I'll have a play with the manual WB settings later and see what happens.
