Crop vs FF with MPE65

I wonder if someone could help me out? I have only been snapping a couple of months, and currently have the 7D and a few lenses, including the MPE65.
Now my question is this, would the MPE65 on a FF body, allow me to shoot slightly larger objects than on crop?
My train of thought being that the 7D has the 1.6 factor, so making the MPE longer, and is using a smaller amount of the glass, therefore rendering an object bigger to the sensor.
And would the flip side be that with FF, I would have to get closer to the object at the same magnification?

Sorry if it's a dumb question, but I've only been playing for a short time.

Thanks
Darrin

yes you will be able to shoot slightly larger insects
havent got the MPE my friend has tho one of the reasons that he bought a full frame (5Dmk2) was to shoot larger insects

Thank you for the quick reply, that's made my mind up then.
It may make life a ted easier than with the 7D, I'm finding it very restrictive on the size of object, which is why I just picked up the 100mm 2.8 USM macro too.

So there's a plan, the 100mm on the 7D, and the MPE on a FF.........now to find a used FF, would like to get a 5DC for that job. Need to wait a while before I can access the classifieds here though:dummy:

I had the MP-E65 for a short while, was for last christmas but had an accident and don't flex as much as I did anymore, and it definitely came out better when used on my 5D2 instead of my 7D. I've still got my 100 L macro that I now use mostly on my 5D3 and it gives excellent results, I've also had it on my 60D though and I get some good results with that too but find I need flash more with the 60D whereas I can up the ISO on my 5D3 and still get good shots without flash most of the time.
