I've shot a roll of slide film and I wanna get it cross-processed in C41 solution.. can I just give it in to tesco or asda for them to process? or do i need a specialist?

I did a quick forum search and didn't find anything related to developing in tesco or asda. but sorry if this has come up already!

Just ask them, I am sure they will do it , no disrespect to asda mini lab operatives but most of them I guess would not know that cross processing contaminates the chemicals.

Which is why when I worked for a pro-lab we would do the cross processes stuff on the last 'run' before the chemicals were changed/replensihed

;)

Ah cool thanks for that, I may go in before they close; I don't want to ruin the next customer's photos. I haven't really done enough research on cross-processing.. how badly will it contaminate the chems?

I'd be very surprised if they do it tbh - it might depend on the specific equipment being used to process the film. Some of the standard processing machines in Asda et al, that can do C41 quickly, (1/2hr - 1hr service,) can literally melt slide film! You could end up with no images, the tanks will need flushing and the chemicals will need replacing. :|

Ah ok, thanks guys! don't wanna risk it so i'll take it to a specialist. Cheers! :)
