Anyone own one?

Got a wedding next year and was looking at getting a smallish messenger style camera bag as I can't lug anything bulky around (I'll probably be using a crutch). It just needs to be big enough to hold a body+lens, a 2nd lens and a flashgun.

Was looking at the 3000 which looks like it will fit the bill and is reasonably priced but I never trust descriptions so wanted to know if anyone had one and could let me know if what I listed above will fit. Would also be happy to hear any alternative recommendations.

Cheers

I have it's predecessor. Depending on which lenses they are, they might fit. I usually bank on a body+lens in the middle then a lens each side (I don't have a flashgun) but one of those is always a 'half size' lens like the 50mm.

Why don't you go to a camera shop and put everything in it? I've done that when buying bags before.

It'll be a non gripped camera body with a couple of primes.

TBH, I've yet to find a camera shop anywhere near me that does a decent range of these types of bag.

I'm trying to think... I normally jam in there my 5DMkII with 100mm, a 90mm TSE and a 50mm 1.8. I reckon you should be alright as long as you're not planning a huge zoom.

(With the caveat mine looks almost the same but isn't - it's an older and possibly slightly smaller one.)

Ok, thanks. Looks promising. The only big zoom I have is the Sigma 50-500 which doesn't get much use at weddings. :D

I love crumplers but find that the messenger bags sacrifice safety for style, owned and sold on several before settling with Kata bags and Lowepro event messenger bags
