Primarily about the Pony, but if anyone has information on the big cheese, do chip in.
Does anybody have any experience of this bag please? I have not been able to find any physical shops which have it. I have looked at the messenger boy variant, which is smaller, and I think I would be happy with the pony, but.
I have two queries about it.
1) Will my laptop fit?
Might sound a silly question. But will my laptop fit? Dimesions quoted on manufacturers pages are not always accurate. One bag I did try at the weekend (unforunately not crumpler) did fit my laptop, even though the specs would suggest not. Dimensions of the laptop are a 15" display, 3.5cm width, 28cm depth, 32.5cm length
2) Secondly, how much is the padding? The qouted external depth of the bag is 26cm. Airport hand luggage is 25cm, will the bag compress to fit this if packed light-ish?
The kit I am hoping to put in it is (it does sound a lot):
1 body
1x 28-135IS (72mm filter)
1x 10-22 EFs(77mm filter)
1x 50 f/1.8 (52mm filter) (small)
1x 18-55 (58mm filter) (small)
^those two I currently put in a pocket together, and they are the size of:
1x 70-300mm (58mm)
1x 100-400 (77mm)
The difficulty is that the holiday is going to be 1 week cruise around the caribbean, and 1 week sight-seeing, wildlife etc. in america. The lens I think I am not going to use is the 50/1.8, but that is titchy!
If the big cheese will go through security, would I be better with this?
