CS2 vs CS4

Hello there,

I've just bought myself a new laptop, and as such need to load up CS onto it.

I've got an old copy of CS2, and wondered if anyone could tell me exactly how CS4 would benefit me instead should I get hold of it.

The reason I ask is because I get the impression that it's essentially just louderized and sparkelated, but that there isn't any really fundamental difference other than a few functions that I might use once out of novelty.

Obviously, I may be completely wrong, so is anyone willing to either back me up or shoot me down?

I do a lot of processing in tatty chop, as a point of note.

Cheers,

Myky D

I Can't really tell you the differences, but you can download CS4 as a 30 day trial.
Maybe worth you trying it for the trial period and see if you feel you get any benefit??

Best bet would be to google "what's new in CS3" and "what's new in CS4", add the two together ;)

I upgraded from 3 to 4 and other than looking a bit tidier there is very little that has changed. The content aware scaling is cool but pretty useless for what I do which is largely just retouching photos, to be honest I should have just bought Lightroom instead!
