Hi folks, I am really pleased with this spring shot taken on Sunday but I would really like to brighten up the girls face a bit. Any hints as to how I can do this in PS CS3 would be very welcome. Thanks in advance.

What about Shadow/Highlights and 50% clears it up quite nicely! Maybe try a bit of Saturdation?

My question is why were you using ISO 1600 on a bright sunny day?

Hows this?

Make a soft edged selection of the shadow part of the face ( I used quick mask and a soft edged brush)

Now apply a levels adjustment layer like so. Hope that helps.:)

Try adding a new layer and select Mode :"soft Light"

Change foreground colour to white

Select a brush and adjust the size. Now in the tool box reduce the opacity to about 15% and the flow to about the 50%,
and gently paint lightness into the face.

This way allows you to gradually build up density, and the the opacity slider limits the amount you can add even if you go over the area again and again. The flow rate you can adjust if you want.

If you find 15% is too high then change it to a lower value

Thanks everyone who helped with this - much appreciated.
