hello again all, im sure someone will know this: if you set a custom white balance then shoot some images then finish for the day does that CWB stay or do you need to set CWB again the next time you use the camera? :shrug:

I know on my D40x it stays till you reset. No that that is much use to you but I can only guess it would be the same. Surely?!

Wouldn't be too hard to check though.
 
The WB should stay on the last setting you left it on, if that was Custom, then Custom it is.

Even if you change to a different WB, the Custom setting you took remains in the memory. So if you a have a repeatable lighting situation, taking pics of items in a portable studio with the same lights for example, then you could re-use that Custom WB and not need to take a Custom WB again. But only if the situation is repeatable. ;)
