D200 card compatibility

I've got a D200 and a D5000, and as you know they take different cards. I have loads of SD and SDHC for my D5000, and I prefer SD anyway, so I bought an SD to CF adapter off ebay. However, it didn;t seem to work and would not let me record he images. Its being sent back, but I just wondered if anyone knows of any, just in case its a compatibility issue with the D200?

I guess the adapter from ebay was at fault, many people have used adapters before in a D200 and they seem to work. It may be best to get a well known brand SD to CF Type II Adapter, reliability and build quality of these ebay adapters and usb readers are questionable.

I could only find THIS one but I am sure there are more about.
