I seem to have lost my D300 rubber eye piece that comes with the camera. Now looking for a new one but there are a few on the market so which is the better ones and where from?

Yip i know that however loads of people seem to swap to a different eyecup and wanted to know if there is anything better on the market.

The standard Nikon one is best...some people claim those big rubber cups are better, but they're the sort of people that wear grey cardigans with suede elbow-patches and tartan carpet-slippers...

I prefer the eyepiece on the D700, the D200/300 ones keep falling off !! But I do have a beige cardigan somewhere.
Pretty sure the '700 has the same arrangement as the D3: the eyepiece blind switch also acts as a lock for the eyepiece - it can only be removed when the eyepiece blind is closed...
I lost SO many of these damned things with the F5/D1/D1x/D2x that I used to carry 3 spares in my bag...

I thought that the round ones were far less likely to get lost. Never lost one on the D1x or D700. I have list the D200 one on several occs but luckily found itost times! It just needs a top upwards and it is away!
