D300 focus problem advice please

Hi all,advice please

Just picked up a used D300 and yesterday i got a lot of OOF shots with it so today i did some test shots back to back with my other D300 with same settings, lens and card. im very concerned with the results :/

sorted, previous owner had managed to turn the in camera sharpnes down to the minimum lol, alls good now ive pushed it back up

previous owner must have had some badly focused lenses to turn the camera setting down that far
