Im still new to my 300 and getting used to LV.

I wanted to do some shots of my gecko. When he is about, the lights in his Viv are off, so its quite dark.

Its not an isse as I can raise ISO enough for a good pic.

The issue using LV is that the monitor is to dark to see anything at all, let alone focus .

Now, Ive googled and RTFM, but I cant see a way of making the image bright enough on the monitor to MF.

Is this how it is or have I missed something >?

I've had a few so might be off the mark, if there isn't enough light the image on LV will be too dark to focus. Increasing ISO will help you get a photograph but won't help with LV brightness and focus.

I'd increase the light long enough to get focus then reduce the light and increase the ISO, just keep an eye on your DOF.

Or something like that :)

Cheers.

Thanks, I thoguht it maybe the case. I can use AF, but if I take more than a couple of pics, the AF assist offends him and he buggers off to hide.

Hold the play button down and cursor up/down to change brightness
