d300 metering(exposure)

hi all, since i been playing with my pentax k7 i feel my d300 over exposes a tad, just wondered what others thought of there camera.

I've read (but not experienced) the same. I'm on a boat for a 30th party tomorrow with it, so will be interested to see how it copes with the light
