d300 question !

hi all, am i being really thick or is it not possible to use the mirror lock up and the self timer to take a shot on my d300 ? i ask this as i dont yet have a cable release. thanks in advance .

You are not being stupid you can’t use MUP and the self timer

BUT

If you leave the camera in MUP it will automatically take the photo after 30 seconds and then drop the mirror.
