Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this issue.

I would like to use higher shutter speeds on my D300s with my SB600, used wirelessly, than the cameras default speed is 1/60 of a second.

Edit: in Aperture Priority mode

I know that I can use higher shutter speeds but I just cann't figure it out and it's driving me crazy.

I have left the manual in Southampton and wont get it back till next week.

Many thanks,

Kardo

take it off aperture or program Priority and put it in manual, the flash will still expose correctly regardless of your aperture or shutter speed. up to 250th that is.

You need to set the high flash sync option in camera and then also on the flash iirc it is called fp in the manual and on the flash, will go and check my d300 manual in a minute for you.

Ok go into custom settings menu then select e1 which is flash sync speed

you can then select 1/320 (auto fp)

out of manual quote
" Use auto FP high-speed sync with sb800 sb600 and sb200 flash units. If other flash units are used, shutter speed is set to 1/320s. When the camera shows a shutter speed of 1/320s in exposure mode P or A, auto FP high speed sync will be activated if the actual shutter speed is faster than 1/320s

hope that helps.
