Hi

The new D3s has just arrived and I am thrilled with it but .

When I switch the camera off a small amount of information remains in the top control panel.

I have searched the instruction manual and a Magic Lantern Guide there is no reference to this happening.

Have I got a problem before I start?

Thanks in advance.

Nope - it's normal.
Card info and frame numbers should remain. Tells you how many cards you have in the camera and how many images you can take before you switch the camera on.
Helpful if you're just looking into your camera bag.

Indeed true, my 700's always display the amount of shots left on the card. Very handy.

On a side note I had a play with a D3s the other week, I love the blue colour the top screen lights up in. Reminds me of the timex indiglow watches.

They all do that when you bung a flash on - unless you disable it on the flash...

Hi all

Thank you all for your help. I'm just moving moving up from a 14n which does not do this.

The odd thing is they were exactly the same price but this time I get more bang for my euro's.

Thanks again.
Graham.

Is the 14n the one that started life as a 35mm Nikon camera and then Kodak ripped the back off it and made it digital?
