D50 battery work in a Nikon d90

Not sure. The D90 uses an EN-EL3e battery while the D50 uses an EN-EL3. The D50 will happily accept the D90's battery but I'm less convinced that the D90 will even accept a D50's. My D70 uses an EN-EL3 as standard but can just as easily use the later EN-EL3e but the D70's battery will not physically fit all the way into the D700's compartment.
