D500 Firmware Update Problem

I need to update the firmware on my Nikon D500. I have downloaded the update and extracted the file D500 Update onto an SD card.
When I insert the card in the camera, go to MENU then to Firmware Version in the SET UP menu there is no option to UPDATE. Only the word Done is there. The card with the update on it is in the Primary Slot.
Why am I not getting the option to update?

is the update on the card route? as in not in a folder or a zipped file.

Thanks just sorted. Needed to click on D500 update to get the .bin file THEN copy it to the SD card. Worked fine now. Stupid me!!
HOWEVER
cannot get camera and phone paired. After the message establishing connection......... I get another message PAIRING FAILED. CHECK HELP FOR INFORMATION ON RESOLVING THIS ISSUE.
Am stuck again. One thing after another. Everything went as per instructions right up to the establishing connection stage. Have Wifi, camera name showing on phone and selected. What to do now?

Have you got the latest Snapbridge update?
IIRC there is another due soon to address connection problems but IMO it's a downgrade from WMU on the D7200
