D5100 with 18-105

I got my new d5100 with 18-105 lens. Got the camera as body only with the lens separate. The lens came in a white box with just a bag and hood and the camera came in a kit box for 18-55 lens but without the lens.

Is this normal? There wasn't any warranty cards or anything from Nikon either. Got it from hdewcameras

The white box usually contains a kit lens inside a larger box containing the cam as well - could be you got a cam from one kit and a lens from another :shrug: Probably all ok unless its a return - i would ask for the registration docs though - in case you need service. BTW like your flikr photos what were they taken with ? couldn't detect the exif.
 
Thank you for the reply. It did come with a card from xtend cover for 3 years. I would have thought I could have registered both the body and lens with Nikon.

My Flickr - most of the safari was a canon power shot s3 all the rest would have been Panasonic tz10.
