Hi I have just purchased a d60 and am waiting on it to arrive, in the mean time *** i was wondering is there a book I can get to help me learn to use it effectively! This is my first dslr and although automatic mode can get a lot of my shots I am looking to use all the functions on the camera and get into photography properly, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 
a good way to start is use auto or program and look at what the camera is deciding and ask yourself why it is deciding that, helped me anyway
 
I haven't read any so can't comment. They'll all be fit for purpose though. Have a read of the reviews and see what suits your needs best. :)
