D600 focus points vanished

Just noticed that apart from the center one the rest of the focus points have vanished..... I have the camera set on single point focus but the other points used to be there so I could scroll across them using the d-pad. Plus I have just tried the other focus settings and still no focus points.

The camera focuses fine and I can move the focus point but it moves by itself no other focus points are there

I reckon I must have done something daft and this will be embarrassing when I realize :wacky:
 
hmmm sounds normal to me .i just move it to where its needed .i,m presuming its in ai servo servo mode ,they will show up in p/p though .could be a subtle change in the menu as i'm not familiar with that camera
 
Yes but unless I am loosing it (possible) I am sure that even in single point focus the main focus point will be the center but you can still see the others but they are greyed out until you move across them with your chosen point
 
In single point focus, you can only see one at a time and as you move between them you will see the highlighted one.

Thank you... yeah just searched some more on the net (did search first but changed search term) and found a Nikon tutorial showing the view through the viewfinder and also found a woman who just bought a D600 and was asking the same thing..

I think I am loosing it, been messing with my bridge cameras and a new Fuji S5 and think I have confused myself :cautious: you would never think I had done numerous weddings with the D600 and I don't know what the view through the viewfinder looks like :wave: :shifty: :wacky: :snaphappy:
