D70 broke? replacement?

Right so my D70 will no longer autofocus it moves in and out but dont lock on nothing i have tryed everything i can from reset through the menu, master reset, trying a different lens. No joy!

I use it with out the autofocus anyway but sometimes is nice to have it. So i was thinking about getting another body and maybe getting a D2x?

What are peoples views on both th D70 problem and the D2x replacing it?

I use the D70 for portriait using primes.

The D70 is an amazing camera truly great. A 2nd hand D2x isn't going to set you back much, 8fps pro build weather sealing, it's bigger and it's getting quite old now. D300?

I do really like my D70 this is why i havent been bothered about it not autofocus and because i have a d200 aswell i only use it as a second camera.

I see why you say D300 but the reason i say D2x/D2xs is because its full frame (forgot to mention i would like a full frame)

I cant get a D3 too much money for me.

The d2x are 1.5 crop if you want full frame you will have to go for a D3/700
