I picked up a s/h D70 today for a song and so far I am very happy. :woot:
Apart from all the extra buttons for my sausage fingers to fumble over i am a little confused over a couple of things in the menus.

Center wtd - what does this mean and what setting should I use. I have the choices of 6,8,10 or 12 mm. It's currently set at 8mm (the default I think).

Sorry for the dumb question but I didn't get a manual with the camera.

Cheers

Tony

You can download the manual from the Nikon site. The Centre Weighted refers to the exposure.

8 for center Wtd' will be fine, camera will take/use the exposure from 8mm across the centre of what your framing..;)

That's not quite right. Centre weighted takes the exposure from the whole scene (like matrix) but gives more WEIGHT to the CENTRE portion as defined by the size setting (e.g. 6, 8, etc.) :)
