D700 Continuous shooting.

Okay, only really picked up on this the other day, and now it is nagging at me, whatever I have tried, even set to low quality jpeg, my D700 will only shoot a continuous burst of 9 images. As I shoot the buffer number is well above 9 and still is when the camera stops. I tried a few things from online such as turning off noise reduction etc, but with no success, still only 9 shots. Any ideas? Help is much appreciated

Sounds like you've got auto bracketing turned on and set to 9 shots.....

what memory card are you using.
also what have you got the max set to in the menu.
menu d5 on the d300.
