D700 D3 shutter noise

Who needs an excuse? If I hadn't just built my studio I would have a D3s and D700 rather than a D700 and D200 :)

tried Amazon telling them if I did not have the camera in 24 hours I would have my money back. They then emailed to say they where waiting for stock and would not give my money back unless the camera was faulty.

Amazon, one of the biggest retailers in the world is unaware of the distance selling regulations, I find that hard to believe

I spent the last 3 days with Nikon high command at the Open and they told me that no-one has any except for back orders placed over 60 days ago. I can only go by my attempts to buy one and what I'm told by Amazon when I tried. If anyone has managed to buy one from Amazon in the last 20 days I'd be amazed. I do not dislike Amazon or any other retailer I just want a D3s, so I'll take it from whomever! Mine is now sorted direct from Nikon.

So finding it hard to believe is of no concern of mine the reality is simply that

t admit the biggest surprise I got was the shutter noise when moving up to the D700. Still let`s everyone know you`re there eh ;)

I had a 40D and to use quiet mode you had to lock up the mirror beforet aking the shot (Or something like that!) and then fire the shutter, it wasnt too good..

Thats great especially for weddings! im so aware of how loud my shutter is during the service, AND the speeches to the matter.. im going to be getting the D3s in the autum, that is if they dont bring out something else in the mean time..
