Is it me, don’t think so.
I was messing about doing some macro, lens reversed on camera in Live View mode.
Manual stop-down metering is required but it won’t work.
CAN’T METER MANUALY ON A D7000 WHEN IN LIVE VIEW.
I don’t believe, but I couldn’t find a way.
The exposure display in LV for Auto, P,S & A works fine, the values changing for different EV’s.
In manual metering mode all that appears at the bottom of the LV are the speed and aperture that you have selected, changing when changed manually.
There is nothing to tell you that these values are correct values because the EXPOSURE INDICATOR ‘±’ is not there.
The EXPOSURE INDICATOR '±' is of only visible through the view finder, which of course in LV cannot be used.
OK, I hear you say, meter manually before switching to live view.
That’s fine as long as the exposure stays the same.
If the exposure changes what is one to do, come out of LV, re-meter, and go back into LV.
Surely not, I must be missing something.
Try as I might with the camera, search the manual from cover to cover I’m stumped.
If this is in fact the case, then IMHO is a definite failing with the camera.
OR are all LV’s like this?

........there's no exposure meter display in live view, so to get an accurate idea of exposure you need to leave live view............
