i am having to downgrade from my D700 to a D7000, now i spent £1,200 late last year on a new Nikon 24-70 f2.8 and to be honest it along with the D700 has hardly been used.
I intended to sell it in favour of a 17-55 as i thought it would be more suited to a DX body than the 24-70.
However it seems if i want to sell my 24-70 i have to sell it below £900 which means i loose £300 for a lens that was used 6 times at the most, i simply cant afford to loose money like that, so my question is will my 24-70 be ok on my D7000 or do i really need to take the hit and sell it in favour of a 17-55?
My photography is just general stuff these days.

could stay cheap though.. sorry. Still it is a cracking lens but if you already have the 24-70 maybe consider using it more and see if you like it
