D7000 and AF-D lens concern

Is not really a problem but just wondering do any D7000 users have the same issue?

I've recently bought the 50mm f1.8D because is cheap and it got a great compliment from almost every Nikon user. First I got to admit those compliment is all true and i really like the lens.

I only got 2 concern.

Does the lens is really stiff to put on the camera? because when i put the lens on, it is pretty stiff that i have to really turn it to lock it in place wit hthe body.

and the second concern is,

You can't manual focus overwrite right? My camera have AF on all the time so when i turn the focus ring on the lens it is really stiff, like i turning the AF motor. So i best to switch to manual mode to manual focus right?
 
Yeah, snug fit = good. Don't manually drive the focus screw (probably doesn't do any real harm but there's no point in risking it as the camera will just refocus anyway).
 
Yes a snug fit here also but was the same on the D70 I used previously.
 
thanks for the reply guys, I just didn't know and got that habbit of doing it because of the AF-S lens I been using ....... i know it didn't feel right when i turn the manual focus because it feel like i turning the motor.

I only done it a little bit then stop, hope nothing will damage ......

Is a cracking lens after all.
