D7000 battery grip

As a result of reading this thread I've gone and bought one of these grips.

I thought it might be helpful to anyone considering buying one to see some pics of it......... :shrug:

Ordered mine friday and it arrived today. Overall, for the money I've no complaints. Haven't had a chance to use it "in the field" but general build quality seems beyond the £40 price tag. The rubber grips seem good quality and even the base surrounding the tripod mount is rubber.

A metal plate runs the full length of the grip and acts as an anchor for the tripod mount and extra strength/stiffening

had to kick myself at the weekend, my main camera battery ran low so i put 4 aa batteries in the grip to carry on, took me a while to realise why it wasen't working lol it takes 6 batteries. Muppet i am

I find the AE-l/AF-l button is in an awkward place, the mould around the button gets in the way of my big thumbs.

Also with the dials going the wrong way, as said in this thread you can change the direction of the dials in the menu, this also changes the dials on the grip. i do most oof my shots in portrait so i have swapped mine around
