D7000 Battery, LI-Ion...re-charge at any time.

Thought I'd invest in a spare battery (EN-EL15) 'one on and one in the wash'
so to speak, untill I saw tha price.

Cheapest was £55, and they were out of stock.

One dealer Bristol Cameras, said this in their blurb.....

It's Lithium Ion technology so there is no memory effect, which means you
can recharge it at any point without having to discharge it first.

I could find no mention of this in the D7000 manual.

So I don't need to rush and get a battery....Yet.

£55 is a good price, I'v just looked on 3 websites and the cheapest was £68..

But the answer to your question is that lithium-ion batteries can be recharged at any time. There's a possible risk of overcharging if you put a fully charged battery back in the charger, but apart from that you can more or less do what you want.
