D7000; Cannot View Pic Soon as its Taken until I press Playback??

Finally got the Sd Card and tried out the d7000. I am quite surprised with the pic quality. Its amazing, although I've only tested it with my 60mm F2.8 lens. My D50 would show up the image soon as it was taken with the option of playback. I'm sure the d7000 has that facility also, only I cant seem to work it out in the menu. I have no manual as it was bought used. Would anyone enlighten me on this??

You'll find the settings in the manual already posted but it should be the default option so it could be worth doing a reset - will be in the manual - in case any other settings are iffy.
 
On d7000 the default option is off.
You need to change it in your menu.

Personally I prefer it off and review as necessary.

Saves tones if battery life.

But if you want it on its in the playback menu - image review - on or off

Ta for that as I, too, was missing the preview bit on my D7000 as I like to quickly check that the picture I've just taken came out okay without having to keep reaching for the playback button every time (and the image can be turned off by lightly pressing the shutter button, easier that way as that finger stays in one place).
 
I'd say the manual will be helpful too though! OP said they didn't get one with the camera so I fail to see how this is unhelpful....? Plus Richard may not use a D7000..?
