Am aware of the stock shortage caused by the situation in Thailand, does anyone have any insider info as to when relatively normal stock levels will be likely? Asked Calumet but they couldn't say anything other than March, possibly April.

Yes, I have got a hole burning in my pocket ;)

Ta, but being the paranoid type I am, I'd rather be first owner and buy from an official stockist. I'll get confident in high value private sales at some point, I hope! ;)
 
£925 seems very steep, when you can get a new one from Dixons for £850 with warranty, only a matter of time.

Been doing this for months... No-one has, but ta all the same :) I'm a slave to camerapricebuster at the mo :(
 
emailed a few myself from camerpricebuster - I just get "stock should be in mid-march", funny when I emailed in Jan I got "stock should be in mid-feb":'(

Looks like Nikon don't want us to buy a D7000:shake:, ( "buy a new shiny D800, D4 etc instead":D )

been trying for a D7000 since Mid November:bang: ( not grey import ).

BTW the only sites that seem to have stock are the "To Good to be true" sites that don't actually exist.:razz:
 
What an incredible rip off, I sold my D7000 body when it first came out for £650, and it had very low actuations and was spotless. TBH Id rather add £400 and get a D700. Imo people who buy at that price have far to much money, and if they have that much money may aswell look at the models up.

They ship from Hong Kong, grey import, no Nikon support.:razz:
If its like the flash gun I bought with "uk" warrenty, they could ship it back to HK and that could take months ! Never again:thumbsdown:

I wasn't suggesting it as a sensible proposition, although I'd be interested to know if this means there is a limited supply in the Asian supply channels. It may just be that as soon as supplies got short then put the price up to maximise profit on remaining stock.

I'm just hoping this doesn't caused used D90 prices to creep up too much. Most of the dealers now have them at £450, although they don't seem to be moving quickly. MPB had one for £390, it didn't hand about for long.
