Thinking of a grip for my D90 but don't want to shell out for the genuine Nikon one. There are loads of non Nikon ones on Ebay but how good or otherwise are they?

Anyone recommend a 3rd party grip?

my Hahnel D60 works on D40/x/60..............and also new D5000
prob a model for D90

my older version is just a grip holding 2 batteries
newer version has a shutter release button in the vertical position
generic battery from 7DayShop

LinkDelight are reported ok
but there is a weird external electrical wire connection which looks rubbish

Not sure if the D90 ones are the same but there is an ebay seller called Link Delight that seems to get very good reviews on their D300 grip.

Thanks guys. Can't see the wire connection referred to on the LD pics? Any more info on that please?

google search for a Youtube video on the D5000 grip

the electrical wire connection looks so naff - I kept my basic D40 grip which works on the D5000, but doesn't have a vertical shutter release button

so what !

Thanks. Doesn't seem to have that wired connection on the D80/90 grip. So it seems to be a choice between the LD model and the Hahnel.

Does anyone know if the Hahnel has the AE-L/AF-L button on the grip? Can't find any mention of it anywhere.
