D90 Blinkies?

Do I have blinkies on this camera. I suppose I should dig out the manual but I thought I'd try here first for a quick reply.:help:

If you mean does it show blown highlights then yes.

The large circular button on the back, (The one with OK in the middle of it) press up or down arrows to change the dispay.

One display will come up with the word "highlights"

This one will show you whether you are overexposed or not.

But you need to have 'Highlights' selected - Menu > Playback > Display Mode > Highlights
 
also, there are times when you can't avoid blinkies. So by all means use them as a reference point, but don't immediately think you've overexposed because there are blinkies

I wasn't sure about that as I don't have the camera in front of me only the manual. I use the histogram anyway.

Ha! Got home and tried it out.

You DO have to have 'Highlights' selected in the Display Mode submenu before you get them displayed by using up/down on the 4-way controller.

Yep, that's been my experience with it.

I find it helpful and use it as the default view when I'm chimping!

Not on mine and I haven't adjusted that menu since I bought the camera.

Up and down arrows will take you through the various display options for any pic on my D90.
 
Strange. I switched the option off and I didn't get the highlights display; definitely only when switched on as stated in the manual.

Yours must be faulty! :)

Yep must be I have sent it back to Nikon in the light of your comment
