Thinking of getting a D90 is ERR error is it a widespread problem?

I have only managed to get -E- when I take a card out and turn it on. I have heard of the ERR on other forums, but not seen it that widely reported.

I've only ever had the -E- issue on my D300 when the lens wasn't fitted correctly. A simple cleaning of the contacts, re-fitted the lens and it's perfect (was kinda odd though as the camera and lens were both bought new by me, but it might have been dust in the air when changing lenses)

You'll get 'ERR' if the aperture lock on your lens isn't applied and the aperture ring moves off minimum aperture.

Assuming it's an older lens and it has an aperture ring...

edit: sorry it's: 'f-EE' not 'ERR' on Nikons...
